Meet Isabella

Raised by Polk County Values
Isabella Cerqueira didn't just move to District 48 to run for public office—she was born, raised, and shaped by the very neighborhoods she is running to protect. Growing up in Central Florida, she learned early on the value of hard work, accountability, and community dedication. After graduating from Polk State College, Isabella chose to dedicate her professional career to public service where it matters most: our local education system.
Uncompromising Integrity
Isabella is running a completely clean, grassroots campaign fueled entirely by working neighbors, proudly refusing all corporate PAC money and out-of-state special interest funding. Her hands are clean, her record is transparent, and her loyalty rests solely with the residents of District 48. She is ready to bring a teacher's work ethic and absolute financial transparency to the State House
A Vision for Higher Wages & Stronger Infrastructure
Isabella’s experience as a mentor has driven her core campaign mission: bridging the gap between education and economic opportunity. She knows our young adults and families are facing skyrocketing housing costs and gridlocked local traffic from Poinciana to Winter Haven.
To lift local earnings, Isabella is leading the charge for a modern economy by creating direct partnerships between our schools and local companies. Her platform focuses on building robust mentorship networks and corporate apprenticeship pipelines, ensuring our students gain high-demand skills that lead directly into higher-wage careers right here at home.
Real-World Experience on the Front Lines
While career politicians measure experience by years spent sitting in closed-door government rooms, Isabella measures experience by real-world community impact. As a dedicated local teacher and mentor, she works on the front lines of Polk County's challenges every single day.
Classrooms don't allow for excuses; they demand creative problem-solving, strict budget management, and absolute accountability. Isabella navigates state regulations and local school challenges daily, giving her a first-hand view of how detached Tallahassee lawmakers have become from our families
